作品情報
豊原国周（1835〜1900年）による1885年（明治18年）の役者絵「野晒五助」。国周は明治期を代表する役者絵師で、細密な筆致と豊かな色彩で歌舞伎俳優を描いた作品を数多く残しました。本作は３枚続きの組み物として一枚の作品になっており、全体の構図と配色の調和が見事です。
Artwork Details
“Nozarashi Gosuke” (1885) by Toyohara Kunichika (1835–1900). A yakusha-e (actor print) depicting the kabuki character Nozarashi Gosuke, presented as a triptych joined into a single work. Kunichika was the foremost yakusha-e artist of the Meiji period, celebrated for his detailed portraits and rich palette. The colour harmony and compositional balance of this joined triptych are particularly impressive.
