Welcome — and thank you for your interest in collecting Japanese woodblock prints from outside Japan. Please read through this page before placing your order so there are no surprises.
About the shop
no worries is a licensed antiques and arts dealer based in Tokyo (Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Board registration #304412618246). We specialize in original Edo and Meiji period ukiyo-e woodblock prints, plus selected shin-hanga and nihonga.
All pieces are originals from their period unless explicitly noted as reproduction in the listing. Condition notes for each piece reflect honest age-related characteristics — these are antiques, not new prints.
Pricing and currency
On the English site, prices are shown in US Dollars by default; you can switch between USD and Japanese Yen (¥) at any time using the currency selector on product, cart and checkout pages. All prices are tax-included. Your order is charged in the currency shown at checkout — if your card is issued in a different currency, your card company or PayPal will convert at the day’s exchange rate, so the final amount may differ slightly.
Shipping
We ship worldwide via Japan Post EMS (Express Mail Service). Typical delivery windows:
- East Asia (China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia) — 3 to 7 days
- Southeast Asia & Oceania — 4 to 10 days
- North America & Europe — 5 to 14 days
- Other regions — varies, contact us if you have concerns
Prints ship flat in archival-grade rigid packaging. Tracking is provided for every order.
Customs, duties, and taxes
Import duties, VAT, GST, customs fees, and any other taxes imposed by your country are your responsibility. We declare the actual purchase price on the customs form — we cannot mark items as gifts or under-declare value.
If your country requires special import licenses for cultural property, that responsibility is yours to check before ordering.
Payment
We accept:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB) via Stripe.
- Bank transfer to our Rakuten Bank account — best for high-value international orders, lowest fees on our end.
International bank transfer via Wise
In addition to Stripe, I hold a Wise account and can accept a standard bank transfer in any of the currencies below. Please contact me and I will send you the bank account number and transfer details for your chosen currency:
- 🇪🇺 EUR — Euro

- 🇸🇬 SGD — Singapore Dollar
- 🇳🇿 NZD — New Zealand Dollar
- 🇨🇭 CHF — Swiss Franc

For any bank transfer, payment must reach us within 3 business days of order. We ship within 1 business day of confirmed payment.
Damages in transit
If your package arrives damaged: photograph the outer box AND the contents immediately, then email us within 48 hours. We file the EMS damage claim with you; refunds or replacements depend on the claim outcome.
Returns
These are antique works of art. We ask that you review the listing photos carefully before ordering — each piece has multiple angle and detail shots, and we are happy to send more if you ask.
International returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving the item. Please contact us before sending anything back.
Return shipping is at the buyer’s expense, unless the fault lies with the shop (the piece arrived damaged, or materially differs from how the listing described its condition) — in which case we cover return shipping and issue a refund or replacement.
Original packaging please. Customs duties already paid on the way in are not refundable from our end.
